When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.

Since our downlight is mains powered, you or your electrician can simply wire them straight into your mains using the standard screw-in terminal block on the back. These downlights each have an 85mm bezel that requires a 65mm cut-out hole. If you’re going to DIY the installation, double (and triple) check that you’ve got the measurements right before cutting your installation holes so that your new lights fit and look perfect.
This downlight does not come with a bulb because there are so many options, and everybody prefers something different. However, we suggest choosing a dimmable 5w GU10 LED bulb to use the dimming function of these lights without any problems. This function is perfect if you want to customise the atmosphere of your home. For a relaxing and cosy atmosphere in the evening before going to bed, you can dim your lights. When you're busy preparing lunch, turn the brightness up to get sufficient illumination.
We offer a 3-year warranty for this downlight and a 2-year warranty for any bulbs that come with it. This will give you more time to enjoy your lights to the fullest without any worries.
