When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.

Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.

Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.

Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.

Adjustable/Tilt Downlight
There are two types of downlights that you can find: fixed and adjustable downlights. A fixed downlight has a static gimbal that only points downward. You cannot redirect it, so you need to be 100% sure about the placement before cutting a hole and mounting it. Otherwise, you'll be patching holes and redoing the installation if you really ought to change the position of your lights!
On the flip side, an adjustable downlight, like this one, has a movable gimbal which you can tilt to change the trajectory of the light beams. It's perfect for highlighting display cabinets, souvenirs, collections, and artwork. If you need a more versatile lighting solution, this adjustable downlight can provide you with extra mobility!
Fire Rated to 90 Minutes
When you trim a hole in your ceiling, its fire integrity weakens. Fire-rated downlights, like this one, can restore that as they are designed with an intumescent pad that expands at a particular temperature, blocking all the tiny crevices the fixture was not able to seal.
This LED downlight is fire-rated to 90 minutes of protection, giving you more time to escape if a fire spreads. Also, aside from a safe exit, having this lighting fixture can minimise the damage to your home’s structure, so it will not be as challenging to restore compared to those that are burned badly. So, fortify your fire protection and use this LED downlight instead!

Works with a GU10 Bulb
This LED downlight is designed with a GU10 lamp holder, so it works with any GU10 bulb. Although, you should consider using it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch since it's a dimmable fixture!
As for the GU10 bulb, it's available in three colour temperatures: cool white, natural white and warm white light. Cool white and natural white are both suitable for task lighting. The only difference between the two is cool white has a crisp bluish shade, while natural white has no hints of blue or yellow. Alternatively, warm white light is perfect for ambient lighting because its yellowish tone can create a relaxing atmosphere!
Available in Brushed Chrome, Polished Chrome, Polished Brass and White
Nothing beats an interior design that speaks of your personality and style. The only thing you need to watch out for is being trapped in the same aesthetic which you got tired of for quite some time. Instead of going all out with eccentric lighting fixtures and statement pieces, design a neutral base first, which will be the foundation for all the themes you will try in the future.
This LED downlight is constructed with a simple round bezel and is available in four finishes: polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, and white. No matter what you get, all four gorgeous finishes can complement every style, furniture and decor piece!

Hassle-Free to Install
When you have a lighting fixture with a more challenging installation, you must allocate more time, effort, tools, and preparation. You may encounter difficulties, experience frustrations, and have pushed-back timelines. So, if possible, avoid going for those types of fixtures. Instead, get this LED downlight!
This fitting is mains powered; therefore, you don’t need to purchase a separate driver or transformer to make it work. Wire the downlight directly to the mains circuit, add the bulb of your choice, and you’re done! Just prioritise your safety above everything, and if you’re not confident doing the installation yourself, call for an electrician. Yes, you’ll be paying extra, but at least your safe and your lights are mounted correctly!
The Dimensions
Whether or not you’re doing the installation, you must know the measurements of your lights. It’s as important as learning each step of the mounting process. You will likely mess up if you just wing it, especially with a recessed fixture like this downlight. The cut-out hole can be too big that the fitting will fall off or too small that it won’t fit. Another scenario that you might experience is a protruding downlight since you did not take into account the height of the fixture and the available ceiling void.
So, keep in mind that this LED downlight is 110mm tall with an 85mm diameter and requires a 75mm cut-out hole!
