High-Quality Downlight, Made from Die-Cast Aluminium
LED light bulbs can last for years, so it's only proper to have a fixture that can keep up with it. Without sturdy housing, the long-lasting lamps would be rendered useless, and instead of savings, you'll have more expenses!
With this LED downlight, that won't be a problem! It's constructed from high-quality die-cast aluminium, so it won't rust or tarnish even if you've had it for a long time! The only thing that you need to do is keep it clean to keep its original lustre. Just wipe the bezel with a damp cloth to remove all the dust build-up. Also, sometimes, dust can obstruct the light being produced, so it's good to clean it regularly!
Stunning White Finish
Are you the type of homeowner who updates their interior every season? If that’s the case, it’s better if your main ceiling lights are simple so they can blend effortlessly with the rest of your decor. Even if you have two unique lighting fixtures, they will not clash with them but instead create harmony!
This LED downlight has a round bezel with a pristine white finish. Because of its simplistic style, it can match any aesthetic be it traditional, retro or modern. With this, you’ll be able to go all out with your themes and try combinations that you won’t be able to do if you have fittings that identify with a specific motif.
Dimmable with a Dimmable GU10 Bulb & Dimmer Switch
No bulbs are included with this LED downlight. This is to give our customers the freedom to decide which lamps to choose to fully tailor-fit their lighting experience! Just note that this LED downlight has a GU10 lamp holder, so you can use it with any GU10 bulb. Although, since it’s a dimmable fixture, pairing it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch will enable you to utilise its dimming function!
When you use the dimming feature, the bulb will not always work at 100% capacity. Because of this, it becomes more energy-efficient and long-lasting! So, if you think that it’s just for additional visual appeal, dimmable lights are actually more practical to have in your space.
Mains Powered, Straightforward Installation
Are you renovating your home? If so, you don’t want to spend hours mounting a single lighting fixture, right? Most of the time, DIY renovations consist of several tasks and the more complicated each step is, the longer you’ll take to complete the project. So, choose this LED downlight instead of a challenging fixture to mount!
It’s mains powered, so you don’t need a driver or transformer to make it work. Also, it has a twist and lock mechanism, making bulb changes smooth and effortless. Once you trim the cut-out hole, you can wire your fitting, add a bulb, and you’re done! It won’t take long (but this still depends on the number of downlights you’re installing) as long as you have everything you need!
Knowing the measurements of your fixture is crucial because it will determine how the end result will look like. If you just wing it, chances are, the downlight protrudes because you didn’t consider the available ceiling void, or it may fall off because the cut-out hole is bigger than recommended. So, before cutting anything, guarantee that you know the dimensions of your fitting!
That being said, take note that this LED downlight is 110mm tall with an 80mm diameter, requiring a 65mm cut-out hole. Be precise, and you’ll achieve a beautifully mounted downlight!
In case you’re not confident about mounting your downlights alone, call for an electrician. Although you’ll be paying extra, at least you are safe and assured that your lights are mounted correctly!
Indoor Use - IP20 Rated
Not all lighting fixtures are ideal for bathroom and outdoor installation. Some don’t have extensive protection to fend off liquids, dust, and dirt. So, before you buy, check the IP rating of the fixture, as it will indicate whether or not you can install it outside your home or in your bathroom!
This LED downlight is only IP20 rated. Although, while you can only use it indoors, there are still many areas where you can mount it! You can put it in your bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, storage room, and other areas away from the water-prone area. If you need a lighting fixture that you can use in splash zones, look for a fitting that’s IP65 rated and up.
