High Quality! Made from Die-Cast Aluminium
Would you still want to reuse a lighting fixture that already looks old and rusty even though it’s still working? Most definitely not! If you see a rusting fitting, the first thing that will come to your mind is to find a replacement. Even if it can still function, your instincts will tell you not to use it anymore, and it may be a hazard to your home!
With this LED downlight, that won’t be an issue! It’s made from die-cast aluminium, so it won’t rust or tarnish even after using it for years. Just commit to cleaning it often (every month, if possible) to remove any dust and dirt build-up!
Easy to Install, Twist & Lock Mechanism
One of the best features of this LED downlight is its ease of installation! As long as you plan ahead and trim the cut-out hole properly, you won’t spend hours (still, it depends on the number of fixtures you’re installing) wiring a single downlight!
It’s designed with a twist and lock mechanism so you can swiftly change the bulbs without fiddling with spring clips. Also, it's mains powered, meaning you don’t need a separate driver or transformer to make it work. All you have to do is wire your lights directly to the mains circuit, add a bulb, and you’re done! Once your downlights are mounted, you can start enjoying your perfectly lit space.
Sublime White Finish
Do you love redecorating your space often? If that’s the case, then you should be mindful of the fixtures that you have in your home. A few statement pieces are okay, but if your main ceiling lights are too out of this world to suit various themes, you may have to box up a few of your ideas.
Fortunately, you don’t need to limit yourself if you have this LED downlight! It has a circular bezel with a sublime white finish that goes well with everything. If you want to try a vintage look or experiment with a retro aesthetic, you won’t have any trouble because this fitting will work with whatever you have in mind!
Before you trim anything, you need to be aware of the measurements of your fixture. If you don’t plan this out, your supposedly easy installation will end up in a massive ball of unfortunate events! So, be careful and follow these dimensions accurately.
This LED downlight is 110mm tall with an 80mm diameter and requires a 65mm cut-out hole. Follow the cut-out hole to the dot and consider the height of the fixture to ensure that it will fit perfectly into your ceiling. If you are off the mark, your downlight might protrude or fall off, which is not the outcome you want to see after all the hard work you’ve put in!
Dimmable with a Dimmable GU10 Bulb & Dimmer Switch
This LED downlight is made with a GU10 lamp holder; therefore, it’s compatible with any GU10 bulb. However, it’s a dimmable fixture, and if you want to utilise this function, you need to pair it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Make sure that you have these two elements because, without them, you won’t be able to dim your lights!
Having dimmable lights will help you save even more on your electricity bill and maintenance costs. Since the fixture is not always working at 100%, its power consumption lessens, and its lifespan is extended. So, if you want to prolong the time you spend with your lights, make this downlight dimmable!
IP20 Rated, Suitable Indoors Only
Before buying a fixture, check its IP rating. Will it be able to accommodate the area where you want to install it? If the IP rating of a fitting is IP20 rated, it’s only suitable for indoor use. This means your bedroom, dining room, kitchen (but away from places with water), living room and others that are far from liquids.
This LED downlight is IP20-rated, so splash zones are a no-go! If you need a lighting fixture for your bathroom or outdoors, look for one with an IP65 and up (IP44 is also okay for the bathroom but in zone 2 only). So, guarantee that you read the product description first to avoid any issues once your downlights are installed!
