When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Pack of 10 Adjustable Downlights & IP20 Rated
What’s great about this multi-pack is that it includes ten downlights, which is ideal for small-scale renovations. This fitting is also IP20-rated, so you can use it anywhere in your home except for water zones like the bathroom and some parts of the kitchen. Nonetheless, it’s perfect for the living room, bedroom, dining room, home office, kitchen (away from water sources) and more!
Additionally, this LED downlight has an adjustable gimbal that you can tilt up or down to a specific range. This allows you to customise the direction of the light beams and have more freedom with your lighting system. You can mount a few of these downlights over your kitchen island to serve as dedicated task lighting for that area or in other rooms to accentuate artwork, decorative elements, and gorgeous architectural structures!
Quick and Stress-Free to Mount! Twist & Lock Mechanism
Mounting this LED downlight should not concern you because it's made with elements that make the entire installation process quick and stress-free! It has a twist-and-lock feature that enables fast bulb changes and a large loop-in/out push-fit terminal block that allows you to wire each downlight in series instead of individually linking them back to the power supply!
This LED downlight is also mains-powered, so you don’t have to buy a separate driver or transformer to make it work. All you need to do is plan the placement of the fixtures, trim the cut-out hole, link straight to the mains circuit, and add a GU10 LED bulb of your choice!
Open Can Design & Pristine White Finish
The slim profile with the pristine white finish of his LED downlight can complement several design schemes, such as contemporary, traditional, minimalist, industrial, and more! Even if not included in your initial blueprint, this downlight will blend in effortlessly with the rest of your layout. Instead of fully tailor-fitting the room to a specific look, leaving a few neutral pieces like this downlight is better to make changing from one vibe to another less daunting and expensive!
Also, this top-quality LED downlight has an open-can design, which makes it more worthwhile. Its enhanced cooling system will ensure that the bulb you use with it lasts throughout its lengthy average lifespan!
Works with a GU10 Bulb
This LED downlight can be used with any GU10 bulb because it's made with a GU10 lamp holder. However, since it's dimmable, pairing it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch will allow you to take advantage of its dimming function!
The GU10 bulb is available in three LED colours: cool white, natural white and warm white light. Cool white and natural white are both perfect for task lighting. The only difference between the two colour temperatures is that cool white has a crisp bluish tone, whereas natural white light has no shades of yellow or blue. On the other hand, warm white light is ideal for ambient lighting since its yellowish hue can create a relaxing atmosphere!
Insulation Coverable
Because this LED downlight is insulation-coverable, you can place loft insulation loosely over the rear of it. However, this is only possible if you pair it with a GU10 LED lamp with a maximum power of 7w. Other downlight models will not permit you to do this, but it is a vital step since insulation allows your home to diffuse heat quickly. This will lessen the warmth trapped in your space and lower your electrical consumption!
When it comes to lighting, only put something over your fittings once you find information that states you can do so or have confirmation from the supplier or manufacturer that you are authorised to do so.
Fire Rated to 30, 60 and 90 Minutes; Ideal for Solid, Web, and I-Joist Ceilings
This LED downlight is fire-rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes of protection for solid joist ceilings and is suitable for web and I-joist ceilings for 30 minutes of protection. What does it mean?
When you cut a hole into your ceiling to mount the downlight, its natural fire barrier weakens. Even if you eventually stuff the hole with the fixture, there are tiny crevices that it cannot block. Only fire-rated downlights like this one can restore the compromised fire integrity of the ceiling because they are made with a built-in intumescent pad that inflates to a specific temperature. This pad then prevents the fire from passing through by blocking the small gaps surrounding the fixture!
