When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Super-Pack of 50 Adjustable Downlights
This LED downlight has an adjustable gimbal, meaning you can change the light beam’s direction by tilting it up or down at a specific range. An adjustable downlight is excellent if you like changing the layout of your space or if you’re still not decided about your lighting plan. It gives you the chance to live in the space for a bit before arranging the lights to cater to your needs and wants.
Additionally, this LED downlight is IP20-rated, which is perfect for indoor use. You can use it to showcase unique architectural features in the room and highlight art collections you want people to notice! This LED downlight also comes in a super-pack of 50, perfect for significant renovation projects and builds!
Works with a GU10 Bulb
Because this LED downlight has a GU10 lamp holder, you can use any GU10 bulb with it. However, note that this is a dimmable fitting. To take advantage of its dimming feature, you have to pair it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and an LED-compatible dimmer switch!
The GU10 bulb is available in three colour temperatures: cool white, natural white, and warm white light. Cool white and natural white are primarily used for task lighting. The only significant difference between the two is cool white has a crisp bluish shade, while natural white has no hints of blue or yellow. On the flip side, warm white light is typically employed for ambient lighting because its yellowish hue can create a serene and cosy environment!
Insulation Coverable
This is insulation-coverable, so putting insulation loosely over its rear is safe. However, there's a precaution. You can only do so if you use the fixture with a GU10 LED lamp with a maximum power of 7w. Other LED downlights are not insulation-coverable. But insulation is essential for your home because it helps release heat, lowering the warmth trapped in the room and reducing your electrical consumption!
Caution is always necessary when installing light fixtures. Before wrapping your fixture with insulation or other materials, get the validation of your supplier or manufacturer. You can also review the product description or technical specification to see if the light fitting is insulation-coverable.
Fire Rated to 30, 60 and 90 Minutes & Ideal for Solid, Web, and I-Joist Ceilings
This LED downlight is fire-rated to 30, 60, and 90 minutes of protection and is ideal for solid, web, and I-joist ceilings. This means the cut-out hole you trim to mount your downlight is entirely resealed, and your ceiling is reinforced to extend the time when the fire will spread. With this, you and your family will have enough time to exit, and your home’s foundational structure will not be in terrible shape, provided the fire is swiftly extinguished.
Only a fire-rated downlight can mend the compromised fire integrity of a ceiling because it has a built-in intumescent pad that triggers when exposed to a precise temperature. When activated, the pad then blocks all the tiny openings surrounding the fitting, preventing the fire from passing through.
Hassle-Free to Mount
This LED downlight is hassle-free to mount because it is made with components that streamline the whole process! It has a twist-and-lock mechanism that enables you to perform quick bulb changes and a large loop-in/out push-fit terminal block that allows you to wire each downlight in series instead of linking them back to the primary supply individually!
It is also mains-powered, so you do not have to purchase an independent LED driver or transformer to make it run. After preparing all the tools you’ll use and drafting your lighting design, begin the mounting procedure by switching off the power box. Then, wire the downlight straight to the mains circuit and add a bulb!
Pristine White Finish & Open Can Design
Are you trying to find a timeless light fixture that goes well with everything? If so, this LED downlight is what you have been looking for! It has a simple round bezel and a pristine white finish, which goes well with various design schemes, whether industrial, rustic, traditional, vintage, contemporary, and more!
In addition, this LED downlight has an open-can design, which makes it more cost-effective than others. The open-can design enhances the cooling system of the fitting, ensuring that the bulb you pair with it can last throughout its expected lengthy lifespan. If you have this, you do not need to purchase replacements and change the light bulbs often!
