Bright Cool White Illumination (6500K)

Why get LED bulkhead lights for your commercial or industrial spaces? That’s because these are great for bolstering your security, adding a much-needed bright lighting to outdoor and utility spaces.

This particular 10W LED bulkhead emits a crisp, 6,500K cool white light that mimics daylight. For indoor applications, this colour temperature would usually be used to create an energetic atmosphere that’s great for activities that need high visibility. For outdoor applications, this fixture is ideal for providing bright, uniform light that enhances visibility and safety, particularly in high-traffic areas such as corridors, stairwells, parking garages, and warehouses.

Bright lights from bulkhead lights can also serve as a deterrent to intruder burglars and vandals, so you don’t want to pass up on them.

Energy-Efficient 10W LED Technology

Did you know that when it comes to your lights, you don’t need to sacrifice on brightness just to save on your electricity bills? This wasn’t true with traditional lights, but now, with most LED lights, this is the reality.

Take this bulkhead light, for example. It only needs to consume 10 watts of power in order to produce a total of 1,050 lumens of maximum brightness, thanks to its rated efficacy of 105 lumens per watt. For context, it should take almost 2x the watts for a fluorescent lamp to hit the same max lumens. This solidifies the need to replace all your traditional lights with their LED counterparts.

It’s undeniable that initial costs will be higher, but isn’t saving money about looking forward into the future? The long-term savings are well worth the initial investment.

Weatherproof IP65 Protection

If you’re not familiar with bulkhead lights, one of their usual strengths is their ability to withstand the outdoors. You know how electricity and water are not a pretty combination, right? That’s why your regular light should not be installed outdoors.

But not this polycarbonate LED bulkhead light. It has an ingress protection rating of IP65, which makes it resistant to dust and water jets. In other words, you can install this outdoors, and dust and rain won’t be a problem. Just don’t submerge it in water (normal installation should not allow that anyway), otherwise it’ll be a catastrophe.

For submerged light installations, you’d need high IP ratings like IP68 for maximum waterproofing.

Strong and Durable Construction

Made with a polypropylene base and polycarbonate diffuser, the fitting is designed to withstand impact and long-term use.

Bulkhead lights are commonly installed outdoors. This means that they’re not only exposed to the elements but to external forces or impacts that may damage them. Thankfully, these LED bulkhead lights are made with a polypropylene base and a polycarbonate diffuser.

Polycarbonate is a stronger, more impact-resistant plastic and has higher heat and light resistance than polypropylene. The latter is a more malleable type of plastic; its flexibility and chemical resistance are great qualities to hold the light’s components.

In short, this LED bulkhead light is designed to withstand impact and long-term use.

Reliable Mains-Operated Design

Solar- and battery-powered lights have their own appeal and benefits. However, for LED bulkhead lights, where dependable performance is required, having them mains-powered is ideal. You’d get more consistent bright lights throughout the night (no powering down because of low battery, especially in bad, sunless weather). Not to mention there’s no need for extra components (batteries, panel lights, and extra wires).

This LED bulkhead light runs directly on 220–240V mains power. No need to get a separate LED driver since you can just wire this directly to your mains circuit. Wiring is also pretty straightforward, but if you do get into any trouble, we suggest employing the help of a certified electrician. Your safety and everyone around you takes the number one priority, after all.

Versatile Applications Indoors and Outdoors

So, where to mount this LED bulkhead light? Technically, you can install this anywhere. Your imagination is the limit, after all, when it comes to lighting. But for what it’s meant to be used for, this LED bulkhead light is perfect for lighting up your corridors, garages, stairwells, porches, and exterior walls. It offers a versatile and dependable lighting solution in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Its chips are made from high-quality 10W SMD LEDs, so you can also expect high-quality performance. This LED bulkhead light is ideal for commercial and industrial spaces, providing safety, security, and functional lighting in areas where durability (impact resistance) and ingress protection (against dust and water) are essential. But, hey, no one’s stopping you from using this in a residential setting.
