When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.

Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.

Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.

Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.

Leaded Glass Design for Traditional Charm
If you’re a sucker for classic styles, this is going to be up your alley (maybe even literally). Introducing: this four-sided silver black wall light. The modern fitting features a classic design that will transport you back through generations. Its glass panels feature a leaded effect that is reminiscent of the old times when lights were supposed to flicker, and bright light meant you still needed to squint your eyes to see ten metres away.
The traditional charm that this wall light brings is perfect for those who are looking to achieve a Victorian home design. But even modern and minimalist settings can make use of it. This wall light adds character and refined detail to porches, facades or garden walls.
Silver-Black Aluminium Finish
The combination of silver and black accents of the wall light is an optical illusion to give the fixture an aged and weathered look that’s sleek yet timeless. It’s got that rugged exterior that kind of says it’s been through and has survived a lot. But in reality, the wall light is made with an aluminium frame. So it won’t rust, wear, or tarnish like the outdoor wall lights of olden times.
It brings back the nostalgia of lighting’s beautiful past, without the worry about its quality. Because this “weathered and aged” wall light might just last you a few more generations before it actually ages. And, of course, the electricity consumption. There’s total control for you on that end, as you will read below.

E27 Lampholder for Bulb Flexibility
Having an E27 lampholder inside this wall light means one thing: freedom. With a standard E27 fitting, you can choose the E27 light bulb style and wattage that suits your requirements. That means that you have a plethora of choices in terms of type, colour, and feature.
You can go for decorative incandescent for that authentic, nostalgic glow that we all know so well. Although you do need to make sure that you’re ready for the spike in energy cost. Just a friendly reminder from us.
Another route you can go (which is a given) is modern LED lighting. Of course, you have the common bright white ones, but if you’re aiming for the nostalgic warm glow, there are LED filament bulbs that are available from Simple Lighting.
IP23 Rating – For Indoor Use
Despite it looking like an outdoor light, where the wind, rain, and sun are daily visitors, this lantern actually has an ingress protection (IP) rating of IP23. This means that it won't perform well in open areas where it's exposed to all the outside elements (since it's not waterproof and has low dust ingress protection), but this is ideal for indoor installations.
So if you had a theme in mind that needs the traditional fixtures, or you need something to add to indoor doorways and entrances, then this is perfect.
But alas, the wall light does have minimal water resistance, so installation in sheltered outdoor locations is still possible. Your porches, patios, or covered walkways will look good with this lantern.

Mains-Powered 220-240V Operation
Like old lights, this wall light is mains-powered (220-240V), meaning it must be directly connected to the mains circuit for it to work. You don't need a special transformers, adapters, or drivers and no complicated wiring just to get the lights running.
The mounting process is pretty straightforward. If you’ve installed lights before, this should be pretty basic for you. But if you have no experience or you’re not confident with your wiring skills, we suggest that you get a professional certified electrician to do it instead. It’s easier on you and safer for everybody. A win-win for all!
Thanks to the light being mains-powered, you can expect performance to be consistent since it will not rely on reserve power, which can sometimes be a problem with battery- and solar-powered fittings.
Four-Sided Wall Light for Even Illumination
There’s a lot to love about this box-type classic-style wall light. And one of them is that the four glass panels allow light to disperse from all sides, which allows for a balanced glow all around the wall light. This creates a high-quality ambience lighting without the harsh shadows.
This wall light provides a lot of lighting potential, where you have the freedom to decide on the kind of light you want to use: a nod to the past with authentic incandescent bulbs, a more energy-efficient alternative that gives the same nostalgic glow, a brighter white light for a more modern touch, and many more.
Just make sure that the wattage of the E27 bulb you get doesn’t exceed 60W, so you don’t run into problems with your light. Also, the E27 bulb is not supplied with the wall light.
