Colour Changing RGB LED Strip

RGB LED strips help you change your light’s colour by mixing red, green, and blue LEDs. They offer a simple way to add accent or mood lighting, indoors or outdoors.

Trim them to size, connect them to a controller, and power them with a matching 12V or 24V supply. With options for smart control, white-light add-ons, and high-IP-rated variants, they can liven up any space without a complex setup.

What is an RGB LED Strip

RGB LEDs mix red, green, and blue to make many colours. Basic LED strip lights show one static colour at a time and work with dimming.

Addressable or digital RGB controls sections of the strip for animated effects. A metre of this strip, containing 60 LEDs, can light up one LED at a time to create chase effects (a great feature in gaming settings).

Both of these options need a matching controller and LED driver. 12V strips fit short runs. 24V is better for longer lengths with fewer voltage drops.

Additionally, waterproof options like IP65 or higher protect against splashes, moisture, and dust. This makes them safer for kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor use.

Types of RGB LED Strips We Offer

  • Standard Flexible RGB (12V, indoor, non-waterproof). For dry rooms, coves, shelves, and furniture.
  • Waterproof RGB/RGBW (IP65+). Splash-resistant for kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor use. RGBW has a pure white LED.
  • Addressable/Digital RGB. Section control for moving colour effects. Good for gaming and displays.
  • RGBW/RGB+CCT. Adds white plus colour. CCT includes warm and cool white.
  • Smart App/WiFi RGB. Phone control for colours, dimming, and schedules.
  • High-Density/Output RGB. Comes with at least 120 LEDs per metre for brighter, longer runs.

Note: Each of these comes with different LED densities (30, 60, 120 LEDs per metre), lumen outputs, and installation lengths.

Choosing the Right RGB LED Strips for Your Project

  1. Check the location. Dry indoor areas can use non-waterproof. Kitchens, bathrooms, patios, and gardens need IP65+.
  2. Choose the voltage. 12V for short runs. 24V for longer, brighter installs.
  3. White light option. Pick between RGBW or RGB+CCT.
  4. Pick the effect. Basic means one static colour. Addressable offers section-controlled moving effects.
  5. Add the extras. Use a controller, matching power supply, diffuser if LEDs are visible, and aluminium channels for cleaner mounting.
