When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.

Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.

Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.

Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Includes a Built-In PIR Sensor & Pre-Wired with a 30cm cable
A Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor is an electronic device used to detect the presence of a moving object. In other words, it’s a motion detection device. Integrated with lights, this device helps automate the on/off functions. This is a highly sought-after feature, particularly in commercial and industrial settings.
This Discus LED Downlight features a built-in PIR sensor that automatically activates the light when movement is detected, and then switches off after a set period with no movement detected. This lighting solution is exceptionally energy efficient since it'll only work when necessary. No wasted electricity, no additional power charge.
A 30cm cable is also supplied with the light, making the installation straightforward. Since it is mains-powered (230V), simply connect the cable to the mains circuit to power it up.
Power Adjustable (Pick Between 10W, 15W and 18W)
The wattage rating of your fittings indicates the amount of power they consume to produce light. However, with modern LED lights, that's not the case. High wattage is no longer an indicator of their brightness. It’s more accurate to look at the lumens. Depending on the efficacy of the light (lumens per watt), a high wattage can still potentially mean brighter light.
This LED downlight is an example of that. And what’s more, this fixture has a unique feature that lets you change the power between 10W, 15W, and 18W with just a flick of a switch. The maximum lumen output also changes in proportion to the power, ranging from 950 lm to 1350 lm and 1500 lm, respectively, with an efficacy of 83 to 95 lm/W.
Lovely White Finish (Silver Bezel can be Purchased Separately)
Getting the right finish is as crucial as getting the right lumen-per-watt of your lights. When the lights are off during the day, only the fixture will be visible. That’s why it’s essential to choose lights with the finish you like, as this will impact the overall aesthetic of your space. And with this LED downlight having a lifespan of around 25,000 hours, it’s best to ensure you’re satisfied with the finish you’re getting since it'll be with you for years.
This LED downlight features a pristine white finish that seamlessly blends in with most interior designs. A silver bezel is also available for purchase (separately) if white is not what you’re going for.
Durable - Install on Ceilings or Walls
One of the most notable features of a high-quality light is its durability. And this downlight does not fall short in this.
It is made from high-grade aluminium that will not rust or erode for a very long time. This ensures the light's long life and unmatched durability. To top it off, the downlight also has an impact protection (IK) rating of IK04 and an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP20, making this one of the best indoor lighting options in this category.
The light features an adjustable surface and a semi-recessed mounting bracket that allows it to be installed on the wall or ceiling, depending on your needs, and as long as you make the right cut-out size during installation. The suggested cut-out size is 65 mm to 205 mm.
Ultra Slim Profile - Only 18mm Deep
Lights come in various shapes and sizes. And your ceiling space is one of the biggest factors that dictate which kind of light you need to get. For a space with a wide and high ceiling, it won’t matter if you have a chandelier as long as it fits the interior. However, if you’re short on vertical space and/or height, then downlights like this one, which have an 18mm ultra-slim profile, will be best suited for the situation.
We’re confident in the quality of this fixture; that’s why we supply each pack with a 3-year warranty. So you can enjoy your bright light without any worries, but rather with peace of mind.
Natural White Light, 4000K
The colour of the light will determine the mood of the space. That’s why it’s crucial to have a good understanding of how each colour temperature can significantly affect a space’s ambience and feel. There are three major colour temperature ranges, each one measured by Kelvin (K): warm white (2700K - 3000K), natural white (3500K - 4500K), and cool white (5000K and above).
The downlight features a natural white light at 4000K, offering a balanced, clean light. This light temperature is perfect for task lighting, making it ideal for areas with high traffic or detail-oriented activities, such as the kitchen, living room, or workspace. Make sure to consider the purpose of the space before selecting the colour temperature of your lights.
