Works with a GU10 bulb
This fixed shower LED downlight is constructed with a GU10 lamp holder, so you can pair it with any GU10 bulb. However, since it’s a dimmable fixture, you need to use a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch if you want to access its dimming feature!
With regards to the GU10 bulb, you can get it in cool white, natural white and warm white LED colours! Cool white and natural white are both suitable for task lighting. The only difference between the two colour temperatures is that cool white has a crisp bluish tone, whereas natural white has no hints of blue or yellow. On the flip side, warm white light is perfect for ambient lighting because its yellowish tint can create a relaxing atmosphere!
IP65 Rated - Use Anywhere in Your Home
Suppose you want a single look for all your general lights. If that’s the case, you must look for a fixture that can be used anywhere - like this LED downlight! It’s IP65-rated; therefore, it’s okay to install in all the rooms in your home, even the bathroom’s zone 1 (directly above the shower). This downlight is water-resistant, so jets and splashes of water will not cause it to short-circuit or malfunction!
What if you want to add lights inside your pool and water fountain? Can you use this downlight? Unfortunately, no. While it’s water-resistant, it’s not waterproof, and it is not built for underwater applications. If that is the installation you are after, look for a fitting with an even higher IP rating!

This LED downlight is fire-rated to 30, 60, and 90 minutes of protection for solid joist ceilings and is suitable for web and I-joist ceilings for 30 minutes of protection. What does this mean?
Cutting a hole into your ceiling to mount your recessed lights weakens its natural fire barrier since fire can easily pass through the tiny cracks around the fitting if left unchecked. However, when you use a fire-rated downlight, it can restore the ceiling's fire integrity because it’s made with a built-in intumescent pad that expands when exposed to a specific temperature. This pad then blocks all the tiny gaps surrounding the downlight, preventing the fire from slipping through!
Insulation Coverable
There are many downlights that are insulation-coverable. However, if it’s not clearly stated in the product description or the packaging, it’s not safe to assume that it’s okay to put insulation over your fixture.
This LED downlight is insulation-coverable, so you can loosely put loft insulation over its rear. Most cheaper downlights do not allow this, but it is an outstanding feature for your lights to have since it means that the heat will exit from your home quickly. Therefore, we highly recommend our downlight since it will also help to lower your heating and electric bills when you pair it with an LED lamp that has a maximum power of 7w.
