Choose a profile to suit the joinery
- Surface profile: mounts onto the furniture surface.
- Recessed profile: fits into a prepared recess for a built-in finish.
- Corner profile: suits an internal corner.
- Glass shelf profile: fits an 8mm glass shelf edge.
Check the product drawings and dimensions before machining your furniture. The profiles are supplied in 2m lengths with warm white LEDs, mounting brackets and a matching 2m input cable included.
Cut it to fit and use both pieces
Cut the profile with a hacksaw or suitable machine saw. The electrical connections are push-fit, so you do not need to solder a new connection onto the cut section. Both parts of a cut profile can be used.
If a second cut piece needs its own power connection, add an extra matching input cable. Choose the cable for your specific profile: glass, corner, recessed and surface profiles use their matching accessories. Surface-profile joining cables and in-line connectors are also listed there.
Plan the complete furniture-lighting system
These profiles suit joiners, furniture builders and cabinet makers fitting light into the work itself. They can also light shelves and display furniture within an exhibition stand. Combine them with cabinet lights or prepared LED strip on a correctly sized Lighteez driver.
The profiles use 10W per metre, so a full 2m profile is a 20W load. The Lighteez kit builder helps you choose driver capacity and output count, including more than one driver when needed. Drivers and optional controls are sold separately.
Do I need separate LED tape for these profiles?
No. The LEDs are already fitted. Choose this range when you want the illuminated fitting, matching cable and mounting brackets together.
A prepared fitting for DIY furniture projects
You do not need to fit separate LED tape inside these profiles: the LEDs are already installed. A surface profile mounts onto the furniture, while a recessed profile needs a prepared channel. Choose for the woodworking you are comfortable doing, then use the matching push-fit cable to make the light-to-driver connection.
