Unless the lighting fixture says that its insulation coverable, you should not put anything over the fitting. Yes, insulation can help with fire prevention if installed and used correctly. However, if done wrong, it can be a hazard. So, before installing or using your light fixtures, go through the product description and technical specifications to ensure everything is in place!
This LED downlight is insulation coverable. However, there's a condition that you should meet. You can only put insulation over your downlights if you couple it with a GU10 LED bulb that doesn't exceed a maximum of 7w of power. If you choose an LED bulb with a higher lumens count (but still within the capacity of the downlight), you cannot put insulation over your lights.

You'll get a dimmable GU10 LED bulb when you purchase this LED downlight. The bulb only needs 5w of power to produce a 450 lumens maximum brightness with a wide 110-degree beam angle. Even if you use your lights for extended hours to accompany you while finishing deadlines and chores, it will not make your electricity bill go off the roof!
In addition, the GU10 LED bulb that comes with this LED bulb has a warm white LED colour. Unlike natural white light that has no hints of blue or yellow and cool white light that has a crisp bluish shade, warm white light has a yellowish hue that resembles an old incandescent bulb!
