Set Descending Direction

LED tape is a highly cost-effective lighting solution, and our range of LED tape comes with a full 5-year warranty, saving you many £££s on bulb replacement.

LED tape also consumes considerably less energy than traditional forms of lighting. For example, a standard 40W incandescent bulb will last for approximately 1,000 hours, whereas LED tape lighting can last up to 50,000 hours, saving you money and helping to protect the environment.

Changing over from traditional bulbs to LED tape lights does not mean you have to compromise on light quality because our LED tape is ultra-bright and can light the rooms as well, if not better, then traditional bulbs.

Beside the regular warm and cool white colors, there are different RGB LED tape models available. These have the ability to emit multi colored light on demand eliminating the need to use separate red, green and blue strips.

These are perfect for adjusting light color and intensity as per mood. With these a person has the option to create new color schemes for their home, office or commercial establishment every day. RGB LED tape are great for bars, restaurants and pubs as well as stores and shopping plazas.

Choosing an LED tape

The right LED tape maybe chosen based on following features.

Controllers

Controllers allow adjustment of the light emitted by making use of special drivers and equipment.

  • Knob Controllers: There are knob controllers available that may be fitted into walls. These have separate knobs for controlling functions such as brightness, color and any special effects. Some of these controllers may even have a touchscreen function integrated into them.
  • Remote Control and Receiver: The RGB color changing LED tape can be paired with a remote control and receiver that allow controlling of these from finger tips. A single receiver may allow multiple strips to be controlled. There are different versions of these available and having varying level of functionality and providing distinct level of control. A multichannel one will allow control of various areas in a room.

Waterproof vs Non-waterproof: There are both waterproof and non-waterproof RGB LED tape variants. The waterproof ones meet IP 65 specifications and are recommended for areas such as bathrooms that have a moist environment. These are less prone to being damaged in such areas as compared to their non-waterproof counterparts. For indoor areas that have dry environment, the IP 20 tapes are adequate.

Length and Number of LEDs: RGB LED tape are available in different lengths that range from 1m to 6m for different installation scenarios. If longer length is required, multiple tapes may be used. There are a fixed number of LEDs per meter of tape. Generally, a tape contains 30 or 60 LEDs. The number of LEDs will determine the lumens rating of the tape, i.e. how bright it is and the wattage of driver needed to run it. A tape may be chosen as per required length and number of LEDs.

Extra Features: Generally, most of the RGB LED color changing LED tape allow dimming functionality though some might require additional hardware for the same. A few models may even support sound activation with additional hardware. There are also special tape kits that can be used behind TVs to give off a soft light for aesthetic purposes.
