COB LED Strip - Dotless, No Spots, Natural White 4000K CRI >90

Not a fan of the typical dotted look of a standard strip light? If that's the case, you'll love this COB LED strip light! This strip light, also known as a dotless LED strip, produces a continuous uniform glow. It's much more elegant and pristine compared to the evident dotted effect most strip lights make.

Aside from that, it has a CRI >90, enabling the colours to materialise much more vibrant. This lighting trait is advantageous for retail stores because it can make the products look more engaging to customers! We offer a free bespoke cutting service with your purchase of this COB LED strip light! Just let us know the lengths you need and prepare them accordingly. With this, you don't have to pay more than what you require but have enough to finish your project! In addition, we'll also solder cables at the ends of each strip, so when it arrives, you can proceed straight away to installation!

Please note that this COB LED strip is cuttable every 50mm increments, so you have to round off your sizes to the nearest 50mm.

This COB LED strip has a natural white (4000K) colour temperature. If a cool white has a crisp bluish tone and a warm white has a yellowish shade, a natural white has no hints of blue or yellow. It resembles a cloudless sunny day and is typically used for task lighting. Natural white light can instantly lift the darkness off a space and make individuals comfortable while efficiently doing their work!

A natural white colour temperature is primarily seen on desk lamps in study tables, wall lamps in reading nooks, under cabinet fittings over kitchen counters, pendant lights over dining tables, etc. Cool white and natural white can be used as task lighting interchangeably. It’s a matter of preference on how concentrated you want your lights to be. So, feel free to choose one or the other!

There are multiple ways that you can control this COB LED Strip light. You can go with the traditional way of using a non-dimmable LED driver and connecting it to a standard wall switch or adding a plug a the end of the non-dimmable driver and plugging it into an empty socket. 

Say you want something more modern or a unique method to manage this LED strip. If so, you can use a dimmable driver and wire it to an LED-compatible wall dimmer or pair a non-dimmable LED driver with a remote control dimmer, smart controller (which enables you to connect this COB strip to an App on your phone or smart speakers like Alexa or Google Home), mains wired wall controller, or a battery-powered controller (white or black)!

Since this COB LED strip light is low voltage, you’ll need a dimmable or non-dimmable 24v DC LED driver to make it work. You cannot directly wire it to the mains circuit because it will ruin your lights. But what kind of 24v DC LED driver should you use?

This COB LED strip light is 14w per metre. To get the driver, multiply the wattage per metre by the total length of strips you’ll connect! So, if you’re using 5 metres of strip light, multiply it by 14w, and you’ll need a 100w LED driver (rounded up to the closest available driver). Always round up to avoid overloading the driver!

We recommend using this COB LED strip with one of the LED profiles in our extensive collection. Why? Because using an LED profile will protect your strips against dust, dirt, and curious hands. Also, it'll make the strip lights appear more finished and refined! Regarding waterproofing, not all LED profiles can 100% fend off liquids. So, to be sure, it's still best to use an IP65 (and up) LED strip for bathroom and outdoor applications.

Apart from that, check if the strip light you're using will fit the internal width of the LED profile you're eyeing. This COB strip light is 10mm wide, so choose one that can accommodate that thickness.
