12v DC - Needs a LED Driver
Because this under cabinet light is 12v DC, you’ll need an LED driver (sold separately) to make it work. Here's our recommendation on what driver to use for a certain number of cabinet lights.
To run one light, you’ll need an 8w LED driver. If you need to use three lights, you should get a 15w LED driver. For four lights, purchase a 20w LED driver, and if your project requires six lights, choose a 30w LED driver. Ensure that you follow this recommendation because if you overload the driver, there’s a chance that your cabinet lights may also get damaged. It’s a waste because, as mentioned earlier, this fitting can last for 30,000 hours!
Diverse Control Options
You can choose from several different ways to control this under cabinet light. You can do the basic set-up, which allows you to switch the lights on and off using a light switch or plug socket. There’s also the option of using one of our remote controls to dim the brightness from 1-100% and turn the cabinet lights on and off.
If you want to control your cabinet lights using a traditional wall dimmer, ensure it's LED-compatible. If it’s not, either the dimming will not be smooth, or the fitting will not dim at all. Aside from that, you also need to install a dimmable LED driver instead of a standard LED driver. Please note that you can only use four lights maximum when you use this LED driver.
