IP20 Rated, Indoor Applications Only
This LED profile is IP20-rated. This means it’s only suitable for indoor applications since it does not have adequate protection against liquids. You should only put it in rooms where water is less likely to appear, including the hallways, dining room, bedroom, living room, storage room, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, etc.
Does an LED profile make a strip light water-resistant? It depends on the IP rating. If you use an IP20-rated LED profile and put an IP20-rated strip light, no, it will not be waterproof since the profile and strip light are both IP20. However, if you have an IP65-rated strip light, even if the LED profile is IP20, you can mount it in rooms where water is present.
