GU10 - Transformer Not Needed

This LED downlight is designed with a GU10 lamp holder. You can pair it with any GU10 bulb, but since it’s a dimmable fixture, it’s best to use a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Without the dimmable bulb and dimmer switch, it won’t be possible for this downlight to dim. So, ensure that you have those if you want to manage the brightness level of your lights!
What are the perks of dimmable downlights? There are two main advantages: a longer lifespan and more efficiency! Since the bulb is not operating at 100% capacity, your power consumption automatically decreases, and the working hours of your lights extend!
IP20 Rated, Indoor Use Only
What does IP rating tell you about your lights? IP rating tells you the amount of protection your fixture has against solids and liquids. With this, you can identify whether or not you can put them outdoors or in splash zones like your bathroom!
This LED downlight is only IP20 rated. Therefore, you can only install it inside your home and away from areas where water is frequent. If you need a fitting for your bathroom or backyard, look for one at least IP65 rated (IP44 is okay to use in the bathroom zone 2 only but not zone 1). For underwater applications, you’ll need a fixture with an even higher IP rating than IP65.

The Dimensions
Before going to the installation of your lights, you need to plan first. Identify the placements of your fixtures so that when it's time to cut and wire, you can lessen your mistakes, and everything will go smoothly! The measurement of your lights is crucial during the planning and plotting stage because it will affect the end result of your space. If the cut-out hole is too big, the fitting will fall, and if your ceiling void is not deep enough for the fitting, it will protrude!
So to avoid any of those, make sure you know your fixture's dimensions and follow the cut-out hole accurately! That being said, this LED downlight is 110mm tall with an 80mm diameter and requires a 60-65mm cut-out hole.
