Free Bespoke Cutting Service
We offer a free bespoke cutting service with this LED strip light. Let us know the measurements, and we will cut it to your requirements. We will also solder 2-metre cables to the end of the LED tape to give it a professional finish, making it ready for installation as soon as you receive it.
This LED strip can be cut every 50mm, with a maximum continuous length of 14 metres long, giving you consistent illumination up to 14 metres without any drop in brightness or LED colour change. Most other suppliers cannot offer this quality and only provide a maximum length of 5 metres. When calculating the size you need, please remember to round down to the nearest 50mm.
6000K, Cool White Light
This LED strip light can produce cool white light (6000K). Unlike warm white light with a yellowish shade or a natural white light with no hints of blue or yellow, cool white light has a crisp bluish tone and is ideal for task lighting! It’s absolutely bright, making an individual focus and a space more functional!
Cool white light is typically seen in areas where you work, like the work/study desk, kitchen islands and countertops, bathroom vanity, etc. While many people do not find any issues with this colour temperature, some see it as too strong. If cool white light makes your eyes uncomfortable, try a natural white light instead!
Different Control Options
There are various control options that you can use with this LED strip light. If you want something classic, connect a non-dimmable driver to a standard wall switch or add a plug at the end of the non-dimmable driver and plug it in an empty socket!
Alternatively, if you’re looking for an elevated and modern way to manage this strip light, you can use a dimmable driver and connect it to an LED-compatible wall dimmer. Also, use a non-dimmable LED driver with a remote control, glass-fronted wall dimmer, or a smart controller (which enables you to link the strip lights to an App on your phone or smart speakers like Alexa or Google Home)!
12v DC - Requires an LED Driver
It can seem complicated or daunting when presented with so many LED drivers, but you should always get it right if you follow this guide. It's essential to understand that this is a 12v DC LED strip, so you'll need a 12v DC LED driver. Also, how many metres of the LED strip will be on the LED driver? Take note, you may need more than one LED driver for the job. However, you can also have multiple strips of LED tape on one LED driver as long as it won't overload.
To calculate what LED driver you need, multiply the total length you'll use by the wattage per metre, which is 5w. So if you use 3 metres, you will use a total of 15w. Then, choose the driver closest to this wattage - round up, not down.
Quick and Easy Installation
While many LED lighting fixtures are mains powered, meaning you can connect them directly to the mains circuit, there are those that you can’t. Like this strip light, a low-voltage LED requires an LED driver to work. Nonetheless, after guaranteeing that you have the correct LED driver, mounting this LED strip is quick and easy!
Clean the surface you intend to mount the strip lights. Then, read the installation procedure and follow it step-by-step. When you’re done, remove the cover from the 3M adhesive backing and attach it to the surface you cleaned earlier.
