This LED downlight is designed with a tiltable gimbal, enabling you to redirect the light beam wherever you please. With this, you don’t have to be too wary of the placement of your furniture and decor because you can conveniently change the position of the beams to highlight those elements! Top Quality, Made from Die-Cast Aluminium
Aside from light quality, it’s crucial that you also pay close attention to the construction of the fixture. It will show if your lights are made from poor-quality materials, and even if your LED bulbs are made to last for years, if the frame of your downlight is not durable enough, your lights will become useless!
With this LED downlight, sturdiness is the least of your problem. It’s designed with high-quality die-cast aluminium, so the fixture will not rust or tarnish even after using it for years! All you need to do is clean the bezel with a damped cloth to remove any dust and dirt build-up, and it will be back to looking as good as new!
Three LED Colours (Optional)
The GU10 LED bulbs that you can pair with this LED downlight are available in cool white light, natural white light and warm white light. If you don’t know what each looks like, here’s a simple rundown!
Cool and natural white light are both suitable for task lighting. The only difference is cool white has a crisp bluish tone, whereas natural white is like a cloudless sunny day without any hints of blue or yellow. Some find cool white to be too strong and clinical. If you want something more comfortable on the eyes, consider getting natural white light! On the other hand, warm white is ideal for ambient lighting because its yellowish hue can create a relaxing and cosy environment!
GU10 - No Transformer Needed
This LED downlight is not supplied with any bulbs, so you can personalise the fitting to suit your preference. However, it’s made with a GU10 lamp holder, so you can use any GU10 bulb with it! Just note that it’s a dimmable fixture, so if you want to access its dimming feature, you need a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch!
Installing this downlight is a breeze because it’s mains powered, so you don’t need an LED driver or transformer to make it work. Just wire it directly to the mains circuit, add a bulb, and you’re good to go! Also, it has a twist and lock bezel, allowing quick bulb changes!
The Dimensions
The measurements of your lighting unit are necessary for a perfect finish look, especially with downlights that have a cut-out hole! If you trim it too big, your lights may fall off. Alternatively, if it's too small, the fixture will not fit! Also, if you have a narrow ceiling void, you need to look for a lighting unit that's skinny enough to work for it not to protrude!
So, take note that this LED downlight is 120mm tall with a 92mm diameter and requires an 82mm cut-out hole. Be accurate with this to avoid those scenarios above!
Say you're not confident doing the installation alone. Please don't force it and call for an electrician. Although you'll pay extra, at least your safe and your downlights are installed correctly!
