Reliable Emergency Lighting When You Need It Most

Dependable emergency lighting is an essential part of any building’s safety requirements. That’s why this 3W LED Emergency Light provides automatic backup and delivers up to 3 hours of emergency operation when the normal power supply fails.

With sustained lighting, occupants can easily find exit routes and escape to safety. This

LED exit sign is highly suitable for commercial buildings, corridors, stairwells, warehouses, offices, and emergency escape routes.

The exit sign also offers a viewing distance of up to 22 metres from one side, which means even in larger spaces or longer corridors, the sign is clearly identifiable. The pack comes with four different available legend options to help you better indicate the appropriate escape direction for different layouts and exit points.

Maintained or Non-Maintained Operation

Different buildings have different emergency lighting requirements, which is why this fitting supports both maintained and non-maintained operation. This allows you to configure the unit according to how the exit sign needs to function for each property. This means you can use it in a range of applications, from commercial to residential.

In maintained mode, the fitting remains illuminated during normal operation (while it’s connected to the mains power) and continues operating when the regular power supply is interrupted. This is ideal for public and shared spaces where the exit signage needs to stay clearly visible at all times.

In non-maintained mode, the fitting remains turned off during normal conditions and operates only when the mains supply fails. So, if continuous operation is not necessary, this mode is ideal as it also helps lessen energy consumption.

IP65 Weatherproof Housing for Indoor and Outdoor Use

This emergency exit sign features an IP65-rated thermoplastic polycarbonate (PC) housing, which makes it reliable even in demanding environments. The high IP rating provides strong protection against both dust and water ingress. In simpler terms, it’s dust-tight and has strong resistance to water jets.

The robust enclosure and high IP rating make this exit sign suitable for indoor and outdoor installations where exposure to changing environmental conditions needs to be considered. This includes covered exterior areas, industrial premises, and warehouses.

The rectangular housing measures only 346 x 107 x 60mm, so emergency exit information is easily viewed during a power outage without creating clutter during normal operations. It is also designed to operate across a broad -20°C to +45°C temperature range, making it suitable for use in different locations.

Bright SMD LEDs with Wide Light Distribution

High-efficiency SMD LED chips ensure this emergency exit sign produces reliable, evenly distributed lighting. The whole fitting only consumes 3W of power while producing a total output of 140 lumens. In emergencies when visibility becomes limited, this provides practical lighting that can make a difference in keeping occupants safe.

The LEDs produce a 6400K cool white light that supports clear visual recognition in emergency conditions. A 120-degree beam angle also spreads the light across a broad area rather than concentrating it into a narrow beam, providing more useful brightness along the immediate escape path. Adding to the signage clarity is the high colour rendering index (CRI) of over 80. This ensures that the sign remains vibrant and not washed out for easy viewing.

Long-Lasting Rechargeable Battery Backup

Reliable battery performance is what defines any emergency lighting system. That’s why this emergency exit sign uses a 3.6V 1200mAh Ni-Cd rechargeable battery. Once fully charged, you can rest assured that you’ll get dependable backup lighting, especially when the mains failure lasts longer than expected.

A complete charging cycle takes approximately 24 hours, so getting the exit sign ready for future outages after it has been used will not be a problem. Since the battery uses high-performance Ni-Cd technology, it offers longevity and low maintenance, which is ideal when you need the exit sign to remain on standby for any sudden power interruptions. The rechargeable system also eliminates the need to rely on disposable batteries that need frequent replacements.

Simple Wall or Ceiling Installation

The true test of every emergency exit lighting installation is how visible it is to occupants. With that in mind, this fitting can be wall- or ceiling-mounted, giving you the freedom to choose the most appropriate placement based on the building layout, escape route, and most effective viewing position.

You can install this above an exit, along a corridor, or at an intersection. With multiple mounting options, you don’t need different fitting types for every location.

The unit operates from a 220-240V AC mains supply, making it suitable for standard UK electrical installations. This also means there’s no need for an additional power supply, as you can connect it directly to the mains. Finally, a built-in green indicator light makes operational status checks more convenient and quick.
