This COB LED strip can produce a warm white (2700K) colour temperature. If cool white has a crips bluish shade and natural white has no hints of blue or yellow, warm white light has a yellowish hue that is similar to an old incandescent bulb! It’s suitable for ambient lighting as it can warm up a space and make it cosy and soothing!
Usually, warm white light is seen in places where you unwind, like the living room, bedroom, lounge area, recreation room, etc. You should avoid using this colour temperature in areas where you need to concentrate (meeting rooms, kitchen, conference rooms) because it can make you relax and forget about work!
24v DC - Needs a LED Driver
Since it's low voltage, you'll need a non-dimmable or dimmable 24v DC LED driver to make this COB LED strip light work. You cannot wire it directly to the mains circuit because if you do, it'll ruin your lights. However, what kind of 24v DC LED driver should you buy?
This COB LED strip light is 14w per metre. To know the driver you'll need, multiply the wattage per metre by the total length of the LED strip you'll use! So, if you're using 5 metres of LED strip light, multiply it by 14w, and you'll get 70. Now, look for the next available LED driver because that's the one you should purchase (100w LED driver - rounded up to the closest available driver). Remember to round up to avoid overloading!
Various Control Methods (Smart Speaker, Wall Controller, App, Remote Control, etc.)
You have numerous options when controlling this COB LED strip. If you want something simple and traditional, use a non-dimmable LED driver and connect it to a standard wall switch or add a plug at the end of a non-dimmable LED driver and plug it into the next available socket.
Suppose you’re looking for a modern or unique alternative. If that’s the case, you can use a dimmable driver and connect it to an LED-compatible wall dimmer or couple a non-dimmable LED driver with a mains wired wall controller, battery-powered controller (white or black), remote control dimmer, or a smart controller (which allows you to link this LED strip to an App on your phone or smart devices like Alexa or Google Home)!

Please take note that this COB LED strip is cuttable every 50mm, so you have to round off your measurements to the nearest 50mm increment.

If you want to protect your LED strip lights and keep them running for as long as their expected lifespan, we recommend enclosing them in one of our top-quality LED profiles! A LED profile can shield your strips against dust, dirt, and curious fingers. Besides that, it can make them look more finished and polished! When it comes to waterproofing, not all LED profiles keep liquids out. So, to be safe, it's still best to use an IP65 (and up) LED strip light for areas where water is frequent.
Also, don't forget to check if the strip light you have will fit the internal width of the LED profile you're planning to buy. This COB strip light is 10mm wide, so select one that can accommodate that width.
