A regular RGB decoder has three output channels for each colour (red, green, and blue), while an RGBW decoder has four channels, with an additional channel for white. But this DMX decoder features five channels, giving you complete control over both RGB colour and tunable white lighting with a single unit.
The two additional output channels from the RGB manage warm white and cool white. This allows a single decoder to run an RGB+CCT LED strip (also known as RGBWW) without an extra controller.
