Decoder and Master in One Unit
This 5-channel DMX512 and RDM unit combines two control functions into a single device. In DMX decoder mode, it receives a DMX512 signal from a console and converts those instructions into the output needed to control the connected LED lighting. This allows it to operate as part of a standard DMX system.
In 8-bit DMX master mode, the unit can control other decoders on the same line without a separate console. It can operate as a five-channel dimmer or an RGB controller, with 25 built-in RGB programmes available for standalone effects. Programme speed and brightness can also be adjusted to suit the installation.

OLED Display for Simple Setup
A full OLED display gives you a clear view of the key settings you can adjust on the unit. The screen displays four types of information: the DMX address, channel mode, PWM frequency, and dimming curve, making it easier to check the current configuration when setting up the device. Three physical buttons provide direct control, allowing settings to be changed on the device without relying on a separate interface.

The XLR3 port offers the standard professional DMX connection with three-pin male and female connectors. The RJ45 port allows the DMX signal to run over network-style cable, so you can use standard CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cables for your lighting rigs.
Finally, a green screw terminal is also provided with an amplified output, giving installers another practical connection option for hard-wired systems. Having these connection types available on one device makes it easier to work with existing DMX wiring and supports daisy-chaining multiple decoders along the same DMX line.

5 Channel Constant Voltage Output up to 720W
This device features five constant voltage output channels. Each channel provides up to 6A, with total output reaching 720W when operated from a 24V DC supply. The unit accepts a 12-24V DC input.
It is suitable for RGB, RGBW, and RGB+CCT LED strips, and you can set the decoding configuration from one to five channels. The RGB+CCT combines colour control with adjustable warm and cool white light, allowing all five available channels to be used as needed.
Correct output matching is essential when setting up the system. This decoder is designed for constant voltage LED products, so the connected lighting and power supply must use a compatible constant voltage arrangement. No constant current lighting should be used with the decoder.
Smooth, Flexible Dimming
Thanks to the decoder’s dimming settings, the light output can be configured to meet different application requirements. You can set the PWM (pulse width modulation) frequency from 250Hz to 16000Hz. Higher-frequency settings can help reduce visible flicker when lighting is recorded on camera, making this ideal for studios and retail display settings.
The unit also offers a choice between 8-bit and 16-bit greyscale, with the 8-bit option providing 256 levels and the 16-bit option providing 65,536 levels. The higher levels mean the transition is smoother, and adjustments are precise even when the lights are dim.
Furthermore, a selectable gamma value from 0.1 to 9.9 provides further control over the dimming curve. All of these functions allow the decoder/master device to be used in different lighting applications with different requirements.
