This LED downlight is constructed from die-cast aluminium. Therefore, they will not rust or tarnish even if you have had them for years. Just occasionally wipe them with a clean cloth to remove all the dust and dirt, and they will be back to looking as good as new!

While it is easy to replace a bulb, it is much more complicated when it is the fixture that’s malfunctioning and corroding. You will have to wire and redo the cut-out hole if you are not able to find a match for your existing downlights. You can use this LED downlight throughout your home because it's not just IP20-rated but IP65-rated! This LED downlight has a GU10 lamp holder; therefore, you can use it with any GU10 bulb. However, it’s a dimmable fixture, so if you want to access its dimming function, you’ll need to pair this downlight with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch!

As for the GU10 bulb, it’s available in cool white, natural white and warm white light! Cool and natural white light are both suitable for task lighting. The only difference between the two is that cool white has a crisp bluish tone, whereas natural white has no hints of blue or yellow. On the flip side, warm white light is perfect for ambient lighting because its yellowish shade can create a relaxing atmosphere!

When you know the dimensions of your light fixtures, it’ll be easier to grasp the entire picture of how you’ll set up your lights. You cannot just install your fitting without any plans because you might end up with a messy outcome!

So, remember, this LED downlight is 105mm tall with an 82mm diameter and a 66mm cut-out hole. Follow this precisely, and you’ll have nothing to worry about. However, if you don’t, there’s a chance that your cut-out hole may be too small for the fixture to fit or too big that it’ll fall off! Also, if you don’t consider the height of the downlight and you’re available ceiling void, it may protrude instead of the fixture sitting flush!
