12w Dotless, COB IP67 Waterproof LED Strip - Colour Adjustable / Tunable

Let’s be honest. The gaps between the light from each LED chip in a strip light can be distracting. And if you’re a sucker for “clean” lighting, then these dark spots can get a little annoying. So, it’s such a blessing to have these dotless COB LED strip lights. Chip-On Board, or COB, has a straight, spot-free line of light instead of the “dotted” lights that your standard LED strip light has.

This COB strip light has dimensions of 14mm (width) x 3mm (depth), so if you’re thinking of installing this into an LED profile, make sure that the profile can accommodate these dimensions. (A lot of LED aluminium profiles are only sized at 12mm width.)

Did you know that your white light has a different function and effect depending on its colour temperature? Yes! You have three different temperatures to choose from: Warm white creates a cosy and relaxing (at the same time inviting) atmosphere that promotes rest and relaxation; Cool white is great for general lighting and creating a space that’s more joyful and energetic (opposite of warm white); and Natural/Neutral white is the middle child, that offers a “pure white” that is great for task lighting (commonly used in kitchen countertops and offices).

Luckily, this COB LED strip light is CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) tunable, meaning that it can switch between the three colour temperatures. Just connect the lights to the appropriate controller to start colour changing!

Have you ever had a light that has an efficacy of 120 lumens per watt? Now you have, because this COB LED strip light is not just bright, it’s also energy-efficient. While only consuming 12W per metre, it’s able to produce a total of 1440 lumens per metre brightness (maximum)! Install this on your ceilings and walls, and you’re sure to have a well-lit space that doesn’t drain your wallet.

Just take note that this strip light is 24v DC, which means that you cannot connect this directly to your mains circuit. You’ll need to have an LED driver of the same voltage rating (24v). Never use a different voltage driver if you don’t want flickering or straight-up destroying your lights.

You know what lights are great to have? The ones that you can install everywhere. That’s right. Most lights you can only install in specific spaces, usually in dry areas. And that’s for a good reason, too, since electricity and water do not make a good match. Unless, of course, the light has a high ingress protection. This COB LED strip light is rated IP67.

If you’re unfamiliar, that means that it has the highest protection against solids (dust and dirt) and a very high level of protection against liquids—the strip can be submerged at a shallow depth for at least 30 minutes, and it’ll be fine.
