Simple Lighting Charity Update

The Simple Lighting family are always keen to help out good causes and local charities. Over the last four years we’ve been happy to support Circus Starr put on their show for local underprivileged children, children with disabilities or children on all levels of the autistic spectrum. We’ve sponsored a local football team and taken part in numerous fundraisers for local causes like Claire House.

Currently we’re putting together our schedule of fundraising activities for the summer, they include the Wirral Costal Walk, The Golf Day, The Liverpool, Chester, Liverpool bike ride for Claire house and the Wirral 28 Mile Bikeathon for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research among others.

Later in the year, Tom from our sales team is going to be climbing Mount Snowdon for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. Neil, also from our sales team will be completing the Wirral Costal Walk supporting Redwings Horse Sanctuary.

Will, our Operations Manager will be taking part in the Splash Dash in July for Claire House Children’s Hospice. It’s a good local cause and he will be a completing 3 kilometre course in Birkenhead Park whilst getting covered in powder paint.

Unfortunatly for Will, the Splash Dash does involve getting covered in powder paint.

Unfortunately for Will, the Splash Dash does involve getting covered in powder paint.

Jim, our digital content executive will be completing two bike rides, the Wirral Bikeathon for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and The Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool ride for Claire House Children’s hospice.

When approached about getting involved in any charity events over the summer, Dan our Head of Digital simply said “No comment…”, watch this space for more information.

To get started, we’re in the process of putting together a company Just Giving page. For now, if you want to pitch in you can visit our Just Giving Team Page and make a donation. This is for Claire House Children’s Hospice which is a great cause and also shows your support for Will getting covered in powdered paint in July. It’s a great cause and just a £1 donation can make a massive difference to the work they do.
