We are so excited to introduce our new 365 Day Return Policy.

At Simple Lighting Co we always strive to deliver quality products and we want you to be delighted with your purchase.

However, we completely recognise that when buying online you can never be 100% certain that the product you are buying is suitable for you.

For that reason, we are absolutely delighted to announce our 365 Day Return Policy.

What this means for your customers, is that you can now be certain that when you part with your money if the product is not suitable for you, you can return the product to us for a full refund.

There are a couple exclusions that we would like to make you aware of;

  1. Made to measure products such as LED Tapes, LED Profiles & Extrusions are excluded from this policy.
  2. Finally, any item must be returned within its original packing. Not faulty, damaged and retail boxed, new and ready to sell onto the next customer for the full retail value.
  3. Business to Business sales are excluded from the policy. However, most of the time at our sole discretion the management will still authorise most returns. Therefore, we recommend that you contact us before you order if you feel you may need to return any unwanted items just to check.

Once we receive your order back into our warehouse we will refund within 28 days. The refund will be put back onto your original payment method, whether it card or paypal.

LED Tape, Profiles & Extrusions

LED Tape is still sold with a 2 year product warranty for your peace of mind. So if the product breaks down at all during the first two years after purchase we will replace absolutely free of charge!


The reason LED tapes & profiles are excluded from our new 365 day return policy, is that we cut the product to your requirements on order and the item could not be resold without financial loss to the company.

How do you return a product?

If you need to return your order or any part of your order to us. Firstly, you need to email support@simplelighting.co.uk or call 0800 334 5183.

You need to supply to us, your order number or postcode. The products you wish to return and the reason for return.

Ultimately there will be 4 reasons why you wish to return a product

  1. You do not like what you have received
  2. The product is not suitable for you or unwanted
  3. The product is faulty (Unlikely, but we recognise very occassionally this may happen)
  4. You have been sent the wrong product (Again, very unlikely.... But everyone is human and it may happen very rarely!)

Faulty/Wrong Item Received

If the product is either faulty or the wrong item was sent, our aim to get things resolved for you asap! We understand things like this can be differcult therefore we will action one of three things.

  1. Supply a free post address for you to return the item back to
  2. Arrange a collection by our delivery company of the affected item(s)
  3. Arrange a "Swap-It" at your door step. This basically means collect and drop off the new item at the same time. 

For low value items, normally we will give a free post address. For large, expensive or fragile items we will arrange either a collection or swap-it. The company will decide the solution it feels is appropriate to resolve the situation.

Unwanted Items

Our aim is to make our return policy as simple as possible. If you want to return an item back to us because it is simply unwanted, not suitable or you don't like the product then the return of the item is to be paid for by the customer.

However, this doesn't mean we don't care. We understand sometimes to return large, bulky items can be quite expensive or inconvienant. Therefore, we can arrange a collection using our courier or swap at the door step for a new product.

We will simply pass onto our customers the costs we incur as a company.

Collections are charged at £12.00 & Swap-It's are charged at £19.20.

The prices are extremely competitive compared to royal mail special delivery services & courier service for customers who do not regulaly sent parcels.

Important to note

When you are returning unwanted items, we offer the collection or swap it service to simply help make the return process as simple as possible.

Although we make the arrangements for the return on your behalf, the contract for the return is between you and the courier (DPD). Therefore, you need to ensure that you package the item correctly so prevent damage.

If we receive a damaged item back from you, we will not refund you. However, we will help you make a claim on the parcels insurance and supply any relevant documentation to support your claim.
